Job Opportunity (posted 3/17/21)

Clinton Bank is looking for a college student to work part-time.  If hired, you will start this summer and will cover vacations and work Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.  Once school starts in the fall, you will still be needed to work Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.  If you are available during the week, they could possibly use you during the week when people are out.

ACT Information

Today, February 10, is the deadline to sign up for the next district ACT which will be given at our school on Tuesday, March 30th for seniors and sophomores only. This is an optional test, but scores are college reportable.  The cost is $36. Checks need to be made out to HCHS and put "District ACT" in the memo line. Since this is a district test, contact the Guidance Office to get registered.  

Customized one-on-one ACT Prep tutoring sessions by Joy Lentz via Zoom are available at a rate of $50/hour with a 5-hour minimum.  For more information, contact the guidance office.

Students also have access to free ACT Prep Modules through Kentucky Virtual Library.  For information on how to access these resources, contact Mrs. Stairs.

Murray State Scholarship Deadline

The MSU General Scholarship Application Deadline is Monday, Feb. 1 at 4:30 p.m.

KYOTE--December 15

Seniors: We will be giving KYOTE Math and Reading exams next Tuesday (12/15). This is for students who have not met their ACT benchmark.  

Tux/Drape Photos

Saturday, November 7th is the designated day to have senior tux and drape photos made.   This is encouraged but not mandatory.  If you have questions about your time slot or pricing, contact Jones Photography at 270-804-7354.

December 12th ACT to Be Held at HCHS

Update: November 19--Due to the Governor's Executive Order, the max number of registrants that we can accept for the December 12th ACT has been met.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but it is out of our control.

 Attention all students in 9th-12th grades:  HCHS has been approved to administer the ACT on Saturday, December 12th.  Students who wish to sign up for this testing date will need to register by utilizing an ACT account.  If you do not have an ACT account previously set up, you will need to create an account by going to which typically takes about 30 minutes to complete.  The cost of the test is $55 and should be paid by a credit card through ACT.  If you are a junior or senior who will qualify for a fee waiver, you may pick those up in the Guidance Office.  Please see Mrs. Boaz. Students have until November 20th to register for the December testing date for the ACT.  If you have already registered to test at a different location, you have the option to go into you ACT account and request your location to be changed to Hickman County (free of charge).  You MUST enter our site location to select our school.  Our location number is 252560. 

GEN 100 Intro to College Course

Seniors--GEN 100 has been canceled for November 12.  It has been rescheduled for next Friday, November 20.  The deadline to be caught up on the first three tasks is Thursday, November 19.

All "A" Classic Scholarship

The All A Classic $1000 Scholarship application deadline is this Friday, October 23rd.  See Mrs. Boaz's Remind message or contact the Guidance Office for details.  

Blood Drive

HCHS is hosting a mobile blood drive on Friday, October 23.  To sign up, contact Mrs. Stairs or senior Jenna Moore or go online to and enter HCHS.  Anyone who donates in October could win a chance for a $1000 Amazon gift card!!!

FAFSA Workshop

In preparation for the FAFSA workshop on Wednesday, October 28 (for those who have signed up), or if you intend to complete the FAFSA on your own, our KHEAA outreach counselor has prepared a "Paying for College 101" presentation.  The YouTube video is 25 minutes of great information for completing your FAFSA.

Senior Spotlight

Clinton Bank would like to take the time to acknowledge you as a Hickman County High School senior and your accomplishments and future goals by highlighting you one week in the local newspaper.  Participation is voluntary but highly encouraged.  In order to participate, please complete this form and submit your favorite senior photo (with accompanying commercial use copyrights if applicable) as soon as possible.  Information and photos will be published together on a "first-come, first-served" basis.  Thank you for participating.
