HCHS Students Learn Kentucky History
Appearing in period costume and performing as Greathouse in the early 1800’s, Smith told the story of this brave Kentucky teenager whose valiant efforts were instrumental in bringing victory over the Indian Confederacy and forcing the British out of Canada. Sponsored by Kentucky Humanities, the Kentucky Chautauqua is a series of historic educational performances by traveling performers. This performance highlighted the important role Kentucky soldiers played during the War of 1812.
