Hickman County Academic Team participated in the District Governor’s Cup competition on February 28 at Graves Central Elementary. Students from Hickman County that will advance to the regional competition in individualized areas are: Shelby Johnson (1st place in math); Rhett Dalton (5th place in social studies and 2nd place in science); Graham Carroll (1st place in science); Coleson Naranjo (5th place in language arts); and Emma Swift (1st place in arts and humanities). The quick recall team took 2nd place and will advance to regionals as well with these team members: Carly Boaz; Graham Carroll; Anna Howell; Coleson Naranjo; Cameron Sublett; McKenzie Wilber; Rhett Dalton; Emily Johnson; Shelby Johnson; Micah Naranjo; Emma Swift; and Garrett Ward.
