Contest Winners

Winners of the 2014 Soil and Conservation Poster and Essay contests were recently announced. Sponsored by the Hickman County Conservation District and the Kentucky Farm Bureau, winners of each grade level won $75, while second place received a $50 check. This year’s winners include: front row, from left, Ella Terry, second grade winner; Adam York, first grade winner; Justice Midyett, third grade runner-up; Cora Ellen Clark, third grade winner; James Davis, second grade runner-up; back row, from left, Emma Swift, fifth grade runner-up; Rhett Dalton, fifth grade winner; Alyssa Kreitzburg, sixth grade essay runner-up; Will Clark, sixth grade essay winner; and Allie Gordon, fourth grade winner. Not pictured is Aubrey House, fourth grade runner-up. Overall winner in the poster contest was Rhett Dalton, while Cora Ellen Clark was the overall runner-up. In addition to the cash awards, each student will also receive a T shirt.
