The Hickman County Elementary School site-based decision-making (SBDM) council is conducting an election this week to add a minority representative.
Parents can vote at the HCES office between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily during the week of August 25th through August 29th.
The winner of the election will be announced on Friday, August 29th, at 3:45 p.m.
The candidates for the minority representative vacancy are Hope Browning and Kristen Johnson.
The next HCES SBDM council meeting is scheduled for September 15, 2014.
Furthermore, the council agreed upon a schedule for the remainder of the school year. The schedule is as follows: September 15, 2014, November 17, 2014, January 26, 2015, March 16, 2015, and May 18, 2015.
All meetings will begin at 4:30 in the afternoon. Visitors are welcome to attend.
