Kentucky Music Educators held its annual District Choir Festival on the campus of Murray State University November 12, 2015. This annual event includes approximately 400 students in two choirs, 5/6 grade and 7/8th grade. Under the guidance of Melinda Paul, the students worked to prepare their pre-selected music and then spent the day rehearsing with students representing many different schools all over the region. After a day’s rehearsals, a concert was performed on the stage of Lovett Auditorium. The conductor this year for the 5-6 grade choir was Mrs. Sally Albrecht, composer (of all the music performed) and conductor from Raleigh , NC. The students in attendance were Tori Browning, Gabriella Buckingham, Victoria Dade, Isabella Farmer, Levi Frizzell, Alyssa Fuller, Matthew Houghton, and Emily Johnson.
