Mission Statement
FLIGHT's mission is to provide a safe haven that promotes healthy   minds and bodies through academic, recreational, and cultural enrichment activities in   collaboration with the support from families, the community, and the Hickman County Board of Education.
What is FLIGHT?
Falcons Launching Into Greater Heights Today, commonly referred to as FLIGHT, is a federally funded 21st Century Community Learning Center. This after-school program meets Monday-Thursday from 3:00PM-6:00PM during the school year and three weeks in the summer. Daily, we provide students with a snack, homework help/tutoring, multiple recreational classes to sign up for daily, and transportation home. The Program Director, Mrs. Cayce Batts; Instructional Assistant, Kayla Roach; 2 certified teachers, and 3 high school tutors work daily. Some activities we offered this past year include karate classes taught by a certified karate instructor, cooking classes led by the Hickman County UK Extension Office, a girls mentoring group called Beauty & Brains, college and career planning, entrepreneurship 101, Do-It-Yourself (DIY) crafts, STEM challenges, and physical activity to name a few. All of our services are COMPLETELY FREE and every student in 6-8 grade qualifies for our program.

Can I be involved in sports and still participate in FLIGHT?
